Hi, I’m Veen! I’m a registered social worker and psychotherapist with over a decade of experience providing therapy and counselling in the trauma, gender-based violence, mental health, and substance use sectors. My approach is grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and evidence-informed practice. I believe that healing is a collaborative process, and I work alongside you to build resilience, foster self-understanding, and create meaningful change.

I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches that are trauma- and equity-focused, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs and experiences. Whether you are navigating a crisis, coping with life transitions, or seeking deeper personal growth, I aim to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore, reflect, and take steps toward the life you want.

I am also a PhD candidate in Public Health Sciences at the University of Waterloo, where my research focuses on mental health, equity, and community well-being. This work informs my practice, ensuring that it is grounded in both lived experience and the latest evidence.
